Writing Technique V: The Hardest Way / Writing from Trauma

Trauma is greek for “wound”.

This is 21st century. Such peaceful… Wow.

I dare to say a fair majority of us has experienced it:

Be it that you live in a so-called “underdeveloped” country (I do not dare to give my point of view on this), or in a so-called “developed” country.

This is what I am talking about:

  • Rape.
  • Bullying.
  • Social rejection.
  • Abuses during infance.
  • Negligent parents.
  • Other stuff that leaves you with a nuts family.
  • No family at all, perhaps.
  • Drug addiction.
  • Perhaps, and only perhaps, something that you did to another human being.

Writing from Trauma is plain dangerous. And we must act keeping this right in mind.

But, it can be very healing. Specially within a professional therapeutic context.

Assuming your last psyquiatrist didn’t attempt to murder you… (Please ignore this).

Then, we gotta keep it mind it is dangerous for two main reasons:

1. You are going to face your deepest wounds, as above stated.

2. Feedback can and most likely will be hurtful.

That is why, you might want to take your notes for yourself, or, with time, maybe even share with someone who you trust throughoutly.

As for the Technique per se… Well. There is none.

You, as a writer, are always going to write from trauma, exactly as you’ll live.

As an author, I identify my work with my life;

I just play things off.

No threat.

Just a tunnel. Just a walkthrough.

Yet something’s wrong. It doesn’t end. It doesn’t end. It’ll never end.

You think you’ve made it to the end. But the end becomes the beginning. Or perhas the midway. For it is infinite.

It doesn’t end. It doesn’t end. It’ll never end. Because it is infinite. And you are trapped within the Infinite.

And you scream. Such a scream. Such a fright.

Because it is 4 a.m.

And your bedroom was that tunnel.

But an idea crosses your mind, reckless.

What if I opened the door, even before tuning on the light?

Gluttons for punishment.

Hope.

Resistance.

Endurance.

I have no guarantee this all isn’t going to end. Maybe tomorrow, perhaps one minute from no.

Maybe, perhaps…

My heart is strong. But wil it be strong enough to endure the next take, the next tachycardia?

But it obligues me. “It” does.

I have given it many names, but it is life; life-as-such.

And even though I had known but winter, yet sping broke in…

There were one of each;

Those shocked, who could never forget that date. The most aprehensive, two of which even vomoted.

And the disgraceful, one of which made a phone call laughing to pospone the meeting.

And she? Who knew of her, who knows if she was.

I could write hundreds of stories, perhaps thousands, and the one thing they have in common is that which I defend so passionately:

“Inmortality is earthen as each decision we make is indelible”.

The truly truly true meaning of life

Huge respect. (Official).

This is a hell of a mistery, so we are proceeding very carefully;

First off, we are going to rely on Spanish thinker and author Ortega y Gasset’s idea:

“I and me and my circumstances.”

Let’s play out a real rough example (I like to use these because from my understanding they work better):

You are a strong man. 6 feet tall, “good Will Hunting” like IQ.

Not only you never had access to proper education or even good livehood, but you live in freaking Siria. A bombing’s just blown away your house with you inside of it.

What would that make the meaning of your life?

…And other reasons why the meaning of my life used to be: vengeance and survival, in that order (“surprise…”)

There is, no meaning of life. Well off, you very can give it one.

You can aim as high as you consider, remember, if your circumstances allow you to do so.

You can settle to a job that very could be automated, no family and no friends. But a dog. I like dogs.

And well… Your circumstances very can kill you, in the strong meaning of the word.

And then, there’s a “You”, a you which can make you take advantage of circumstances, experiences, that may had killed another person.

But this is me. And the meaning of my life is to universalize human knowledge. Or to die tryin’.

But, trying.

Thanks for reading.

Cross the brigde, Hazle, come across.
That is your one mission, your life shall bloom there.
Once on the other side, pay attention to my words, trust but the Man Without a Head.
Anyone could live without an arm or an eye.
Some of them will even tell you they lost their heart to you (he will be the most dangerous).
But only the Man without a Head will have lost it to you. Only he you must trust.
Remember my words, remember…

Playing My own “Black” Card

Monopoly Cards.

I was going to make a hell of an argumentative text on this so-called Pandemic.

Referring to contradictions on mass media, Occam’s razor, or even the fact that everything that has been said, from virus and variants names to designed images shown, are Aesthetically identical to the means Mercadotechnia uses.

I don’t have the technical maestry to word it, alas.

Although I very can say:

“Listerine prevents cavities and stains”, while the ad shows images of two things people tend to fear for two reasons, namely illness and social outcasting.

And, “Delta variant is even deadlier and spreads much faster”. And no, I am not taking this any further.

I am not even going to mention a Social Retroengeenering model of fear, mass control, and plain global terrorism or massive fundamental rights vulneration, if thee consider.

As for vaccines. Of course, of course Sars-cov-2 was a thing. Of course it was. It exploded, many people died and then fucking fade out.

Getting vaccinned against Covid19 has the same impact (or risks, everything be told) as vaccinating yourself against leprosy would have.

Now let’s see how long this site stand up for.
