[BroTip] Use Google Analytics with WordPress.com Premium

WARNING: Extremely easy.

1. No coding knowledge needed.

2. No plan higher than Premium needed.

3. Therefore, no plugin needed.

4. Valid for any theme.

So here’s the thing.

It turns out WordPress.com Premium plans (30ish dollars a year) OFFICIALLY supports Google Analytics.

Here’s the steps:

1. Sing up on a Google Analytics account and create a G- Tracking ID.

2. On your WordPress.com Premium (or higher) plan domain’s Dashboard, navigate to:

Tools → Marketing → Statistics → Google Analytics and enter your previously obtained G- Tracking ID.

Seriously, I’ve spent half of the night going plain nuts over this, and it turns out it is actually as easy as this.

Off My Chest!

Off my chest.

I had been way too down for some days… Perhaps weeks now.

I was home alone when I decided to call a suicide prevention public number of my country someone had taken their time to share on Twitter.

First thing I say is my name is Daniel. She inmediately replies there is no need for me to say my name. That everything is confidential and anonymous.

As far as that can be great, I stand there is a freaking social need to speak about this.

We spoke for a 20ish minutes.

Aside from family issues I have no right to speak about publickly, we spoke, among other things,

About me feeling not realised as an artist, about the 9 years I have been now struggling with mental health (hard drug here; psiquiatry, antipsychotics).

About how I had spent 5 years with a psiquiatrist so bad to me I almost feel she attempted to kill me.

About how I spent eight months in a psiquiatric ward, which was only good for me to lose interest in living (…).

About how it confronted me with my parents…

We finally spoke about loneliness, about how I feel this sick world is lonely in itself.

She agreed with me, and I can tell by the tone in her voice she wasn’t lying.

We also spoke about my freaking 1** IQ points, about how either I wasn’t ready for this world or the other way around.

That woman has very likely saved my life.

Bless her.

Last Page of Final Chapter

Brooklyn Bridge Grayscaled.

I am broken. There was this book in my attic.

It is the diary by some woman in her late 40s.

This is its last page:

“It has been a year now since we broke up.

That ungrateful son of a… I need to calm myself down.

There we are. Mr. Daniel’s is the only one that understands me lately.

Who am I trying to fool anyways… I built my very happiness around him.

Same job. No friends. Same office. No love.

No love…

I’ll be right back…

I have made a choice:

This evening, I am walking the Brooklyn Bridge from my side of town to the other side.

If no one… If no-one smiles at me all the way across, I’ll just jump off it.”

There’s nothing more written on it.

Good news is good news

Turns out my official profile at “Club de Escritura Fuentetaja” (my Alma Mater), under my real name (Daniel Prior Gijon a.k.a. the URL of this site) ranks 1st on Google and 3rd on Microsoft Bing for the search of “Daniel Prior” (in Spain we have two last names).

See images:

Also my pic appears 4th on Google Images.

And I am receiving a total of 10+ views a day on there…

As for this website, it varies largely from week to week, sometimes even from day to day.

And as for SEO, crawling and ranking work well on Bing, but I am not doing so good on Google in all honesty.

I will keep on giving my best.

Thanks for being here.

So Far I’ve:

So Far I’ve:

  • Conducted a Philosophical, Religious and Cultural Synctretism.
  • Apported an argument on God’s existance (Theodicy).
  • Created a writing genre, namely Microessay (I don’t care on Wikipedia’s views on this).
  • Contributed to “dead” literary current, namely Irrealism.
  • Created a compilation of 41 tales, Microessays or poems, namely Born Every Minute.
  • Shared said creation on a private domain website, with no ads nor paywalls.
  • Published a total of 90+ original works under my real name.
  • Perceived a total of less than €40 (or USD for that matter).
  • Received a negative critic by a professional on that).
  • Perceived little feedback.

Now I’m going to:

  • Focus on writing my first novel.

Seriously I don’t want to fall down on apathy but…

This ain’t easy…
